The murderer Maazed was buried in his father-in-law’s house at night. The murderer of Bangabandhu murderer Majed was buried at his father-in-law’s house late last night. Moradah, the murderer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was buried at Sonargaon in Narayanganj after the execution on April 12 at 12:30 pm. The burial was carried out on Sunday (April 12) at the Hussainpur village of Shambhapura union of the upazila, next to the school in his father-in-law’s area.
Earlier on the night of January 27, 2010, Syed Farooq Rahman, Bazlul Huda, AKM Mohiuddin Ahmed, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan and Muhiuddin Ahmed were executed.
Meanwhile, Abdul Majed’s death sentence was imposed in the central jail of Keraniganj, Dhaka. Although the body was supposed to be buried in Bhola after the execution, local Awami League leaders said that Abdul Majed’s body would not be allowed to be buried in Bhola.
On that basis, an ambulance carrying Abdul Majeed’s body on a deep night rushed to his father-in-law’s house. People in the administration left after completing the burial at approximately 3pm.

“গভীর রাতে শ্বশুরবাড়িতে বঙ্গবন্ধুর খুনি মাজেদকে দাফন করা হয়েছে “
গভীর রাতে শ্বশুরবাড়িতে খুনি মাজেদকে দাফন । ১২ এপ্রিল রাত ১২ টা ১ মিনিটে ফাঁসি কার্যকর হওয়ার পর বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের খুনি আবদুল মাজেদের মরাদেহ নারায়ণগঞ্জের সোনারগাঁওয়ে দাফন করা হয়েছে। রোববার (১২ এপ্রিল) ভোরে উপজেলার শম্ভুপুরা ইউনিয়নের হোসেনপুর গ্রামে তার শ্বশুরবাড়ি এলাকায় স্কুলের পাশে কবরস্থানে দাফন সম্পন্ন করা হয়।
এর আগে ২০১০ সালের ২৭ জানুয়ারি রাতে সৈয়দ ফারুক রহমান, বজলুল হুদা, এ কে এম মহিউদ্দিন আহমেদ, সুলতান শাহরিয়ার রশিদ খান ও মুহিউদ্দিন আহমেদের মৃত্যুদণ্ড কার্যকর করা হয়েছিল
এদিকে ঢাকার কেরানীগঞ্জের কেন্দ্রীয় কারাগারে আব্দুল মাজেদের ফাঁসির দণ্ড কার্যকর করা হয়। ফাঁসি কার্যকরের পর লাশ ভোলায় নিয়ে পারিবারিক করবস্থানে তাকে দাফনের কথা থাকলেও পরে স্থানীয় আওয়ামী লীগ নেতারা জানায়, আবদুল মাজেদের মরদেহ ভোলায় দাফন করতে দেয়া হবে না।
সেই ভিত্তিতে গভীর রাতে আবদুল মাজেদের লাশবহনকারী অ্যাম্বুলেন্স তার শ্বশুরবাড়ির দিকে ছুটে । প্রশাসনের লোকজন আনুমানিক রাত ৩ ঘটিকায় চুপচাপ দাফন সম্পন্ন করে চলে যায় ।
দাফনের বিয়য়টি নিশ্চিত করেছে সোনারগাঁও উপজেলার নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) সাইদুল ইসলাম । তিনি গণমাধ্যমকে জানান, মাজেদের দাফন প্রক্রিয়া সম্পন্ন গোপনীয়িতার সাথে করা হয়েছে। এলাকাবাসী ও স্থানীয় জনগনসহ স্থানীয় প্রশাসনকেও তা জানানো হয়নি। সকালে এ খবর নিশ্চিত হওয়ার পর তিনি খোঁজ নিয়ে জানতে পারেন রাত ৩টায় মাজেদের মরদেহ অ্যাম্বুলেন্সে করে এনে নারায়ণগঞ্জে তার শ্বশুরবাড়িতে দাফন করা হয়েছে ।
এদিকে সকালে নারায়ণগঞ্জের স্থানীয় আওয়ামীলীগ নেতাকর্মীরা বিষয়টি জানার পর হৈচৈ শুরু করে । স্থানীয় নেতাকর্মীদের দাবী বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের খুনি আবদুল মাজেদের মরদেহ নারায়ণগঞ্জের মাটিতে দাফন করে নারায়ণগঞ্জবাসীকে অপমানিত করা হয়েছে । এমনকি নারায়ণগঞ্জের মাটিকে অপবিত্র করা হয়েছে । যাকে নিজ এলাকায় দাফন করতে দেওয়া হয়নি তাকে কেন এভাবে গোপনে গভীর রাতে নারায়ণগঞ্জের মাটিতে রাখা হলো ।
নারায়ণগঞ্জবাসী প্রশাসনের কাছে এর জবাবদিহীতা চায় । নারায়ণগঞ্জবাসীর সাথে এটা অন্যায় করা হয়েছে । একজন খুনিকে এখানে দাফন করে নারায়ণগঞ্জকে কলঙ্কিত করা হয়েছে ।
এদিকে এখনো পর্যন্ত বঙ্গবন্ধুর খুনের মৃত্যুদন্ড প্রাপ্ত পাঁচ আসামি পলাতক রয়েছে । তাদের মধ্যে যখন যাকে খোজে পাওয়া যাবে তখনি ফাসি কার্যকরের নির্দেশনা রয়েছে । এই পাঁচ আসামিরা হলো এস এইচ এম বি নূর চৌধুরী কানাডায় ও এ এম রাশেদ চৌধুরী যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে অবস্থান করছেন। অন্য তিনজন খন্দকার আবদুর রশিদ, শরিফুল হক ডালিম ও মোসলেম উদ্দিনের অবস্থান সম্পর্কে সরকারের কাছে নিশ্চিত কোনো তথ্য নেই। অপর এক ফাসির আসামি আজিজ পাশা ২০০২ সালে পলাতক অবস্থায় জিম্বাবুয়েতে মারা যান।

The government has no definitive information on the whereabouts of the three other Khandaker Abdur Rashid, Shariful Haque Dalim and Moslem Uddin. Another Fazi accused Aziz Pasha died in Zimbabwe in 2002.
