The Prime Minister announced the closure of educational institutions till September. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that all educational institutions will be closed till September 2020 if the outbreak of corona virus continues. He said this in a video conference about the corona virus.
He made the remarks in a video conference from the Prime Minister’s official residence (Ganobhaban) at 10 am on Monday (April 27).
Earlier, the holiday was extended in several phases from March 26 to curb the outbreak of the corona virus. Educational institutions were declared closed till May 05, 2020, with a public holiday like once or twice, not a full five times.
Educational institutions have never been closed in Bangladesh for such a long time. This is the first time since the 1971 War of Independence that all educational institutions have been declared closed.
In this situation, all the students are expected to fall behind in the session for about a year. Student Exams – Classes are now in complete uncertainty.
Not only that, millions of educated unemployed youth will cross the age limit of employment. At the same time, the future of these educated unemployed is sinking into despair and the dream of survival is about to end. However, the government has said that the unemployed are safe in this matter.

“সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ ঘোষনা প্রধানমন্ত্রীর“
করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রদুর্ভাব অব্যাহত থাকলে সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২০ পর্যন্ত সকল শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ থাকবে বলে জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা । করোনা ভাইরাস নিয়ে একটি ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে তিনি এই কথা জানিয়েছেন ।
সোমবার (২৭ এপ্রিল) সকাল ১০টায় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সরকারি বাসভবন (গণভবন) থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে তিনি এই কথা জানিয়েছেন ।
এর আগে, করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাব ঠেকাতে গত ২৬ মার্চ থেকে কয়েক দফায় ছুটি বৃদ্ধি করা হয় । একবার – দুইবার নয় পুরো পাঁচ বারের মত সাধারণ ছুটির সাথে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান আগামি ০৫ মে ২০২০ পর্যন্ত বন্ধ ঘোষনা করা হয়েছিল ।
বাংলাদেশে এত দীর্ঘ সময় এর আগে কখনো শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান ছুটি হয়নি । ১৯৭১ সালের স্বাধীনতা যোদ্ধের পর এই প্রথম এত দীর্ঘ সময় সকল শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এক সাথে বন্ধ ঘোষনা করা হলো ।
এই অবস্থায় সকল শিক্ষার্থীদের সেশনজটে প্রায় এক বছর পিছিয়ে পড়ার ধারনা করা হচ্ছে । শিক্ষার্থীদের পরীক্ষা – ক্লাস এখন সম্পূর্ণ অনিশ্চয়তার মধ্যে রয়েছে ।
শুধু তাই নয় , এর মধ্যে লাখো শিক্ষিত বেকার যুবক-যুবতির চাকরির বয়স সীমা অতিক্রম করে যাবে । সেই সাথে এসব শিক্ষিত বেকারদের ভবিষ্যত হাতাশায় তলিয়ে যাচ্ছে এবং শেষ হতে যাচ্ছে বেঁচে থাকার স্বপ্ন। তবে সরকার এই বেপারে বেকারদের নিশ্চিন্তে থাকার কথা জানিয়েছে ।
সরকারি নির্দেশে বলা হয়েছে, করোনা ভাইরাস মোকাবেলায় যেসব বেকার শিক্ষিতদের চাকরির বয়স শেষ হয়ে যাচ্ছে তাদের বিবেচনা করে সুযোগ দেওয়া হবে ।
রাজশাহী বিভাগের সঙ্গে মতবিনিময়ের উদ্বোধনী বক্তব্যে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান খোলা প্রসঙ্গে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, করোনার প্রাদুর্ভার অব্যাহত থাকলে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান আমরা খুলবো না। অন্তত সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত এই স্কুল-কলেজ সব বন্ধ থাকবে। যখনই ভাইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাব থামবে তখনই আমরা শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান খুলবো।’
এর আগে, করোনার কারণে পঞ্চমবারের মত সরকার ঘোষিত সাধারণ ছুটি অনুযায়ী দেশের সব শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান আগামী ৫ মে ২০২০ পর্যন্ত বন্ধ থাকবে বলা হয়েছিল। তবে আজ আবার শুধু শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের বেপারে এই ছুটির নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয় ।
