All educational institutions in the country will be closed till September 2020 as per the general holiday announced by the government. This was stated by Mohammad Abul Khair, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education.

আবারো বৃদ্ধি করা হলো সরকারি ছুটির মেয়াদ । করোনা পরিস্থিতির উন্নতি না হওয়ায় সরকারি-বেসরকারি অফিসে সাধারণ ছুটির মেয়াদ আবারও বাড়িয়ে ৩০ মে পর্যন্ত করা হয়েছে । শনিবার দুপুরে সাংবাদিকদের এ কথা জানিয়েছেন জনপ্রশাসন প্রতিমন্ত্রী ফরহাদ হোসেন। গত ২৬ মার্চ থেকে এ পর্যন্ত ৭ম ধাপে বৃদ্ধি করা হলো সাধারণ ছুটি ।
করোনাভাইরাস (কোভিড-১৯) সংক্রমণ রোধে চলমান সাধারণ ছুটি আরও ১৪ দিন বাড়ল। বিভিন্ন নির্দেশনা মানা সাপেক্ষে আগামী ১৭ থেকে ৩০ মে পর্যন্ত ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।
বৃহস্পতিবার (১৪ মে) মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগ থেকে সপ্তম দফায় ছুটি বাড়িয়ে আদেশ জারি করা হয়েছে। এই ছুটির মধ্যে শবে কদর ও ঈদের ছুটিও অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকবে।
সরকার ঘোষিত সাধারণ ছুটি অনুযায়ী দেশের সব শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান আগামী সেপেটেম্বর ২০২০ পর্যন্ত বন্ধ থাকবে । এমনটাই জানিয়েছেন শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা মোহাম্মদ আবুল খায়ের।
গতকাল (২৭ এপ্রিল) সকাল ১০টায় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সরকারি বাসভবন (গণভবন) থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে তিনি এই কথা জানিয়েছেন ।
করোনা পরিস্থিতির উন্নতি না হওয়ায় সরকারি-বেসরকারি অফিসে সাধারণ ছুটির মেয়াদ আবারও বাড়িয়ে ৩০ মে পর্যন্ত করা হয়েছে । শনিবার (১৭ মে) দুপুরে ছুটির সঙ্গে নতুন কিছু নির্দেশনাও জারি করেছে সরকার।
এদিকে, জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় সাংবাদিকদের জানিয়েছেন , অফিস খুলে দেয়ার মতো পরিস্থিতি এখনও সৃষ্টি হয়নি। তাই ৭ম বারের মত ছুটির মেয়াদ বাড়িয়ে ৩০ মে ২০২০ পর্যন্ত করা হয়েছে ।
ছুটি চলাকালীন সময়ে কোন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান খোলা থাকবেনা । গণ-পরিবহণ , শিল্প-কারখানা , উৎপাদন ও সরবরাহ ব্যবস্থা বিবেচনা করে উন্মুক্ত করা হবে ।
এর আগে , ষষ্ঠ ধাপে সাধারণ ছুটি ও যান চলাচল নিয়ন্ত্র্ণ ১৬ মে পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো হয়েছিল ।
করোনা ভাইরাসের জন্য বাংলাদেশের পরিস্থিতি দিন দিন সংকটাপন্ন অবস্থায় এসে দাড়িয়েছে । বিভিন্ন জেলা ও থানা শহর থেকে শুরু করে গ্রাম, পাড়া ও মহল্লা পর্যন্ত লকডাউন করে প্রশাসনের কঠোর নজরদারীতে রাখা হয়েছে । বাংলাদেশ সরকার করোনা ভাইরাসের জন্য ষষ্ঠ দফায় ছুটি বৃদ্ধি করে ৩০ মে ২০২০ পর্যন্ত করেছে ।
এই পরিস্থিতে দেশকে ও দেশের মানুষকে বাঁচাতে সরকারের সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা চলছে । দেশে করোনা ভাইরাসের ভয়াভহ পরিস্থিতি কাটিয়ে উঠতে এবং সাধারণ মানুষকে ঘরে রাখতে ছুটির মেয়াদ বৃদ্ধি করা হয়েছে । সাধারণ ছুটির মেয়াদ পর পর ৭ বার বৃদ্ধি করে ৩০ মে পর্যন্ত ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে ।
বাংলাদেশে করোনা ভাইরাস ছড়িয়ে পড়া রোধ করতে ও করোনার সাথে মোকাবেলা করতে এবং পরিস্থিতির উন্নতি না হওয়ায় প্রথম দফায় গত ২৬ মার্চ থেকে ৪ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত । পরে তা বৃদ্ধি করে দ্বিতীয় দফায় ১১ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত সরকারি ও বেসরকারি অফিসে সধারণ ছুটি ঘোষণা করে সরকার। তৃতীয় দফায় ১৪ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত ও পরে চতুর্থ দফায় ২৫ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত । পঞ্চম দফায় ৫ মে পর্যন্ত ছুটি বর্ধিত করা হয়েছিল । ৬ষ্ঠ দফায় ছুটি বৃদ্ধি করে ১৬ মে ২০২০ পর্যন্ত করা হয়েছিল ।
সর্বশেষ আবারো ৭ম দফায় ছুটি বৃদ্ধি করে ৩০ মে ২০২০ পর্যন্ত করা হলো । করোনা পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে না আসলে আবারও বাড়তে পারে সাধারণ ছুটির মেয়াদ ।
আরও জানা যায়, বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সরকার এই বেপারে সম্মতি জানিয়েছেন । বিষটি নিয়ে অনেক ভাবনা চিন্তার পর এই সিদ্ধান্তে উপনিত হয়েছে সরকার ।
দেশে এই প্রথম কোন উৎসব ছাড়া কোনো মহামারীর জন্য টানা দীর্ঘ দিনের ছুটি চলছে । শুধু তাই নয়, ৩০ তারিখের পরেও বাড়তে পারে ছুটির তালিকা । যদি পরিস্থিতি ভয়াবহ পর্যায়ে সম্ভবনা দেখা দেয় ।
